Permanent Makeup- Pre and Post Care

Pre-Care for Permanent Makeup Tattoo

Appointments are for serious and committed individuals. It is important to follow pre- and post-care instructions to ensure the best results and protect your investment.

1. Consultation:

  • Schedule a consultation with your artist to discuss desired outcomes, potential allergies, and any medical conditions.
  • Perform a patch test if recommended by the artist.

2. Avoid Caffeine & Certain Medications:

  • Stop taking blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen) at least 48 hours before the procedure, unless advised otherwise by a doctor.
  • Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and energy drinks for 3-5 days prior to the appointment.
  • The hard truth of NOT following pre-care instructions: https://www.instagram.com/p/CwVGPLxNrbS/

3. Skin Preparation:

  • Avoid tanning, sunbathing, or using tanning beds for at least a week before the procedure.
  • Do not get any facial treatments (e.g., chemical peels, microdermabrasion) at least two weeks prior.

4. Hydrate and Nourish:

  • Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to the appointment.
  • Moisturize the area to be tattooed daily.

5. Medication and Supplements:

  • Avoid using Retin-A, Retinol, or any other skin-thinning products on the area for at least two weeks before the appointment.

6. Day of the Procedure:

  • Eat a light meal before arriving to keep blood sugar levels stable.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to sit or lie down for an extended period.

Post-Care for Permanent Makeup Tattoo

1. Immediate Aftercare:

  • Keep the area clean and dry. Gently blot with a clean tissue if needed.
  • Avoid touching the tattooed area with unwashed hands.

2. Cleaning:

  • Clean the area gently with a mild, fragrance-free soap and water.
  • Pat dry with a clean tissue or paper towel.

3. Moisturizing:

  • Apply a thin layer of aftercare ointment provided by your artist.
  • Avoid over-moisturizing as it can cause the scabs to become too soft.

4. Avoid:

  • Do not pick, scratch, or peel at the scabs or flaking skin.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds, saunas, hot tubs, and swimming pools for at least two weeks.
  • Avoid makeup and skincare products on the area until fully healed.

5. Protection:

  • Wear a wide-brimmed hat and use sunblock on the area after it’s healed to protect against UV rays.

6. Healing Process:

  • The tattoo will go through several phases of healing, including scabbing and fading. This is normal.
  • Follow up with your artist for any touch-ups or adjustments for desired and finalizing touches.

7. Long-Term Care:

  • Continue to protect the area from excessive sun exposure.
  • Schedule regular touch-ups as recommended by your artist to maintain the tattoo’s appearance.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure a smooth and successful experience with your permanent makeup tattoo, from preparation to final healing.

brow lamination- Pre and Post Care

Pre-Care for Brow Lamination Service

Brow lamination is a cosmetic procedure that involves straightening and lifting the brow hairs using a chemical solution. Proper aftercare ensures the best results and maintains your eyebrow's health. Here are some aftercare tips for brow lamination:

Beforecare:

1. Avoid Plucking or Waxing:

  • Do not pluck, wax, or tint your eyebrows at least one week before the appointment to ensure there's enough hair for the lamination process.

2. Clean Brows:

  • Make sure your brows are clean and free from any makeup, creams, or oils before the appointment.
  • This helps the lamination solution to adhere better.

3. Inform About Allergies:

  • Inform your brow technician about any allergies or skin sensitivities you have, especially to chemicals.

4. Avoid Retinol and Exfoliants:

  • Avoid using retinol, exfoliants, or other strong skincare products around the brow area for a few days prior to the treatment.

5. Patch Test:

  • If you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions to cosmetic treatments, ask for a patch test 24-48 hours before your appointment.

6. Avoid Sun Exposure:

  • Minimize sun exposure and avoid tanning beds, as sunburned skin can be more sensitive to the lamination chemicals.

Aftercare:

1. Avoid Moisture for 24 Hours:

  • Keep your brows dry for the first 24 hours after the procedure.
  • Avoid washing your face, sweating excessively, or any activities that might get your brows wet.

2. Avoid Makeup and Skincare Products:

  • Refrain from applying any makeup or skincare products to your brows for at least 24-48 hours.

3. No Touching or Rubbing:

  • Avoid touching or rubbing your brows to prevent irritation and to maintain the shape.

4. Avoid Heat and Steam:

  • Stay away from pool, beach, saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for at least 48 hours.

5. Use a Brow Conditioner:

  • Apply a nourishing brow conditioner or oil (such as castor oil) daily to keep your brows hydrated and healthy.

6. Brush Your Brows:

  • Gently brush your brows daily using a clean spoolie brush to keep them looking neat and tidy.

7. Avoid Harsh Products:

  • Avoid using harsh or exfoliating skincare products around your brow area, as these can cause irritation or affect the lamination.

8. Be Gentle When Cleansing:

  • When washing your face, be gentle around the brow area.
  • Use a mild cleanser and avoid scrubbing.

9. Schedule Maintenance Appointments:

  • Brow lamination typically lasts 6-8 weeks.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed to maintain the desired look.

10. Consult Your Technician:

  • If you have any concerns or experience any adverse reactions, consult your brow technician for advice and assistance.

Following these before and aftercare tips can help ensure that your brow lamination treatment yields the best results and maintains the health and appearance of your brows.

Lash Lift & tints- Pre and Post Care

Pre-Care for Lash Lift Service

Beforecare:

1. Avoid Eye Makeup:

  • Do not wear any eye makeup, especially mascara, on the day of your appointment.
  • Clean and makeup-free lashes will allow the lifting and tinting solutions to work more effectively.

2. Skip Waterproof Mascara:

  • Avoid using waterproof mascara for at least 48 hours before your appointment, as it can leave a residue that's difficult to remove.

3. Avoid Oil-Based Products:

  • Do not use oil-based makeup removers or skincare products around your eyes for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

4. Stay Hydrated:

  • Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to keep your lashes healthy and hydrated.

5. Remove Contact Lenses:

  • If you wear contact lenses, remove them before your appointment and bring your glasses. Contact lenses can cause irritation during the procedure.

6. Patch Test:

  • If you have sensitive skin or a history of allergic reactions, ask for a patch test 24-48 hours before your appointment to ensure you don't react to the products used.

7. Avoid Lash Extensions:

  • Do not have lash extensions applied for at least 2 weeks before your lash lift and tint appointment.

Aftercare:

1. Avoid Moisture for 24 Hours:

  • Keep your lashes dry for the first 24 hours after the treatment. Avoid washing your face, sweating excessively, or any activities that might get your lashes wet.

2. No Eye Makeup for 24 Hours:

  • Refrain from applying any eye makeup, including mascara, for at least 24 hours after the treatment.

3. Avoid Oil-Based Products:

  • Avoid using oil-based makeup removers and skincare products around your eyes, as they can weaken the lift and tint.

4. No Rubbing or Touching:

  • Avoid rubbing or touching your eyes and lashes, as this can cause the lift to lose its shape.

5. Stay Away from Heat and Steam:

  • Avoid saunas, steam rooms, and hot showers for at least 48 hours after the treatment.

6. Brush Your Lashes:

  • Gently brush your lashes daily with a clean spoolie brush to keep them looking neat and separated.

7. Use a Lash Conditioner:

  • Apply a nourishing lash conditioner to keep your lashes hydrated and healthy.

8. Sleep on Your Back:

  • Try to sleep on your back for the first night to avoid pressing your lashes against the pillow.

9. Avoid Waterproof Mascara:

  • Use regular mascara instead of waterproof mascara to avoid stressing your lashes.

10. Schedule Maintenance Appointments:

  • Lash lifts and tints typically last 6-8 weeks.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments as needed to maintain the desired look.

11. Consult Your Technician:

  • If you have any concerns or experience any adverse reactions, consult your lash technician for advice and assistance.

By following these before and aftercare tips, you can ensure the best results from your lash lift and tint treatment, while also maintaining the health and appearance of your lashes.
